In large-scale sowing, manual sowing or direct mechanical sowing is still adopted in some regions. Manual sowing has obvious drawbacks: slow speed, high cost, inaccurate seeding rate and plant spacing, and serious seed waste. Most machines on the market are more suitable for large seeds and lack precision when sowing small seeds. These problems have long troubled the sowing industry. To tackle these challenges, Hebei Kairuote has spent years on research and developed the NRD-10 Seed Weaving Machine, which thoroughly solves the difficulties and high costs of sowing small seeds.
The NRD-10 Seed Weaving Machine has a wide range of applications. It works with seeds sized 1–5 mm, such as Chinese cabbage, baby bok choy, rapeseed, mustard, celery, lettuce, leaf lettuce, coriander, spinach, carrots and chili peppers. The seeding rate and plant spacing are adjustable. The machine controls plant spacing through the rotating speed of suction discs and the transmission speed of seed tapes. A vacuum pump at the bottom of the machine sucks seeds onto the suction discs fitted with steel belts. Holes on the steel belts pick up seeds precisely. We customize holes and hole positions on steel belts for single seed per cavity, or 2, 3 or multiple seeds per cavity as required. It cuts seed consumption by 30%, eliminates manual thinning, provides uniform growing space for crops, and delivers even growth, better quality and higher yields.
The NRD-10 Seed Weaving Machine occupies little floor space, around 1.5 m², or roughly 2 m² when storing consumables. The machine cabinet is made of high-strength carbon steel, while suction discs use aviation aluminum with oxidized sandblasting surface treatment. They are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, high-temperature resistant and long-lasting.
The NRD-10 Seed Weaving Machine is equipped with 7 alarm sensors, including a low-seed sensor, paper-break sensor, paper-shortage sensor, two thread-break sensors and two guide rail sensors. They trigger alarms with sensitive detection to support intelligent unattended operation.
The NRD-10 Seed Weaving Machine realizes positioned and quantitative sowing for medium and small seeds. Adjustable seeding rate and plant spacing help save seeds and labor and remove thinning work. Crops grow evenly without uneven plant sizes. One operator can manage multiple machines, making it the top choice for large-scale sowing.
